My Journey Into Beekeeping

My beekeeping journey began in 2024, completely by accident—or perhaps, as I prefer to believe, by divine appointment.

​

While working on a resort, a beekeeper was called in to remove and relocate a large honeybee colony. After the bees were safely returned to the property, I asked if I could join him for the honey harvest. The moment he lifted the hive lid and I found myself surrounded by thousands of honeybees, I was hooked.

​

Looking back, I believe it was a blessing from God and the beginning of a journey I was always meant to take.

​

Beekeeping came into my life at exactly the right time. It gave me purpose, direction, and a passion that continues to inspire me every day. Starting with just three hives on the resort, I taught myself everything I know through hands-on experience, determination, and a love for learning.

​

From those first three hives, Lee’s Bees Honey & Hives has grown steadily. In 2025, I secured my first pollination contract, and later that year I took a leap of faith and committed to beekeeping full-time. Today, I proudly offer bee removals, hive maintenance, honey harvesting, pollination services, honey sales, beehive sales, bee supplies, and educational bee tours.

What I love most about beekeeping is that no two days are ever the same. Every hive has a story, every season brings new lessons, and every day spent with bees is an adventure.

Honeybees never stop amazing me, and I feel incredibly grateful that what started as a simple curiosity has become a purpose-filled way of life.
